During this project I'll try to maintain the following points as a design philosophy: - Stick entirely to changes that only impact the AI without impacting the larger game.

Changes - The ability of the AI to wage aggressive wars.

The best Civilization 6 mods

They will get more troops in faster and will use them more effectively. It won't be as distracted by enemy units, will not retreat as fast, will stick more to clustered formations and will be significantly less likely to stare your city down. It will also keep the pressure up throughout the entire game, with it now capable of capturing lategame walled cities. Occasionally you'll see a civilization completely take over another.

With extra changes based on whether it's at war, or under siege. Whether it has a religion, what difficulty setting we're on, etc. Overall you should see the AI develop larger, better cities, without neglecting their military. Limitations There's unfortunately a few strong limitations on this work. The worst is of course that we have no access to the game code, so most of what I can do is working within the system that Firaxis designed.

This offers some flexibility, but there's many areas I just can't touch at all like many of the finer details of combat behavior, policy choices, repairing improvements, unit upgrading, agenda logic and much of the diplomatic system.

On top of that, testing changes out takes extremely long, so changes will be slow. Any feedback on AI behavior and balance both with and without this mod is greatly appreciated. Especially when it comes to the later eras, slower gamespeeds, water maps and difficulties below prince. At this point, the AI feel will definitely feel more solid than that in the base game, but still comes nowhere close to being on the level of actual players.

I'd say it's now on a level similar or slightly higher than the unmodded Civ V AI, with different weaknesses and strengths. Changelog The exact values and tweaks are way too numerous to name here and can be found in the files Spoiler :. Version - Made fully compatible with the expansion and it should still work if you don't have it - Added unique behavior build preferences etc.

Average aggression should be about the same as in vanilla, but there should be some more focused aggression when a civ feels strong, militaristic civs, more lategame wars, higher difficulty levels - Reduced late game settling somewhat - Made some changes that hopefully reduce civs eagerness to make peace - Removed some a change that made units less careful, as it's no longer needed for the AI to conquer cities.

If you're not a fan, delete the contents of gamechanges. Having a religion, being able to get a religion, and not being able to get a religion. The desire for it while in a religion is comparable to the base game, while the desire without a religion is significantly lower. Version 4: - Made Settlers less indecisive, so that they'll settle down earlier - Improvements to behavior while under attack, both tactical and through building choices - Fixed some settlespot evaluation problems forests and resources were considered too desirable - Increased desire for improvements and farms.

It should send bigger troops faster, spend less time doing nothing, will be less scared and will feel overall more dangerous.

It used to beeline towards techs that really weren't all that beeline worthy like bee-lining for castles, without then actually rushing Alhambra - Minor alterations of preferences between different difficulty levels. You'll find the AI will settle more appropriate cities in more competitive amounts. KurnnRohirrimElfClubber Lang and 4 others like this. Civs closer to coastal tiles, for example, will tend to become maritime focused. This mod is great for the war-weary player who wants to try their skill at diplomacy. How real strategy AI makes the game more fun The AI acts more realistic; civs build based on what can be seen, not necessarily where resources will appear later.

Aesthetics plays a big part in Civilization VI, from creating your town down to even the smallest icons in the game. Just keep in mind that this will even give the AI a free scout too.

With this modhowever, you can finally view the numeric relationships with the leaders on a 0 to basis. Even when you try your best to become the best leader you can, sometimes the AI will just straight up attack you.

But the biggest improvements are found in the AIs ability to wage aggressive wars. Expect to see games where an AI wipes out multiple others without any help, sometimes even in the later eras.

This makes the game feel more alive, and makes leaders more focussed and thus capable. The overall difficulty of the game should increase on average. This may make the game too hard for those who like playing on the very lowest settings.

Deity will be hard to beat, though perhaps not as hard as modded Civ V. Notes: - The modding tools provided don't allow coding, nor in-depth changes in all areas of the game. This means I'm really limited in what I can do, and there are many known issues with the AI overall. I'm also no longer continously developping this mod, since there's just not that much I feel I can still do. In some mod combinations that change production costs etc, you may see strange behavior though, such as extreme unit spam, AIs doing a one city challenge or districts that are completely ignored.

Other AI mods tend to make changes to the same parts of the game, which can lead to crashes or other unintended effects. Quite a lot could still be done, but the basis is still the same. So there are quite a few issues remaining that I unfortunately can't really touch.

These issues also exist in vanilla, but sometimes become more prominent here due to bigger cities and more wars.Returns as soon as possible. Anyone with Viewer access to the project can request. The needs of your application dictate the type of prediction you should use. Batch prediction latency If you use a simple model and a small set of input instances, you'll find that there is a considerable difference between how long it takes to finish identical prediction requests using online versus batch prediction. Understanding prediction nodes and resource allocation Cloud ML Engine measures the amount of processing you consume for prediction in node hours.

Node allocation for batch prediction The batch prediction service scales the number of nodes it uses to minimize the amount of elapsed time your job takes. To do that, the service: Allocates some nodes to handle your job when you start it.

Scales the number of nodes during the job in an attempt to optimize efficiency. Shuts down the nodes as soon as your job is done.

Node allocation for online prediction The online prediction service scales the number of nodes it uses to maximize the number of requests it can handle without introducing too much latency. To do that, the service: Allocates some nodes the first time you request predictions after a long pause in requests. Scales the number of nodes in response to request traffic, adding nodes when traffic increases, and removing them when there are fewer requests.

Limitations of automatic scaling Cloud ML Engine automatic scaling for online prediction can help you serve varying rates of prediction requests while minimizing costs. Using manual scaling You can affect the scaling of online prediction for a model version by specifying a number of nodes to keep running regardless of traffic. Prediction input data The data you use for getting predictions is new data that takes the same form as the data you used for training. These formats are summarized in the following table, and described in more detail in the sections below: Prediction type and interface Supported input format Batch with API call Text file with JSON instance strings or TFRecords file (may be compressed) Batch with gcloud tool Text file with JSON instance strings or TFRecords file (may be compressed) Online with API call JSON request message Online with gcloud tool Text file with JSON instance strings or CSV file Instances JSON strings The basic format for both online and batch prediction is a list of instance data tensors.
